What color should I choose for my veranda?

25 September 2020

Your future veranda is about to take shape? Have you already decided on a particular model? The dimensions are set? Great! One hesitation remains: the color of the uprights. Verandair doesn’t make it easy for you, since you can choose from over 2,500 different shades! But let’s try to find the one that suits you best.

Aluminium, the chameleon

Aluminum has the particularity of being available in an infinite range of colors. From burgundy to navy blue, khaki, gray and white, anything is possible with aluminum. And when we say “everything”, we mean absolutely everything! Pink, yellow, orange, brown… any color is possible.

Aluminum has the particularity of being available in an infinite range of colors. From burgundy to navy blue, khaki, gray and white, anything is possible with aluminum. And when we say “everything”, we mean absolutely everything! Pink, yellow, orange, brown… any color is possible. Aluminum is a material that can be perfectly coated in any color, with a faithful, long-lasting finish. Unlike other materials such as wood, the color of aluminum doesn’t vary from the shade you’ve chosen, and doesn’t fade over time.

Key word: harmony

But there is a limit: that of good taste… The ideal is to maintain a certain harmony between your home and your veranda.

If your home’s window frames are already in a pronounced color, you’ll be well advised to opt for a more neutral shade for the uprights of your veranda, or even to reproduce it to stay in tune.

A sober color has the great advantage of being virtually timeless. It’s no secret that trends in aesthetics are evolving rapidly, even for homes. As you won’t be able to change the color of your veranda as often as the walls inside your home, it’s important to opt for a color that will remain trendy and that you won’t tire of.

However, some more pronounced colors can also blend in nicely, especially since it’s the transparent glazing that will make up the bulk of your aluminum veranda. So don’t be afraid to go for a flash orange, the secret being in the dose.

A color to suit you

Are you a claret fan? Do you love blue? Do you swear by neutral colors like white? Make your veranda your own. Opt for a shade you like rather than a “trendy” color.

While it’s easy to repaint walls, changing the uprights on a veranda is a little more complex… So think carefully before you decide. Take a look at some of our projects to get an idea of what’s possible. The Verandair teams can also help you make your choice, taking your tastes into account.

2,500 shades: between structured and smooth colors

As mentioned above, Verandair offers you a choice of over 2,500 shades. But you’ll also be asked to choose between smooth and structured colors.

The smooth, satin-finish RAL colors offer 2,500 shades. These also give rise to 50 variations of so-called structured shades, which are known for their resistance to weathering and scratches,

Structured-finish paints also require less maintenance and offer a natural exterior finish that blends perfectly with the style of any home.

To do this, we control every step of the process.
