Anyone wishing to build a veranda will wonder, at some point in the process, whether or not they need planning permission. Building or renovating a veranda in Wallonia

In Belgium, town planning is the responsibility of the Regions, so rules vary depending on where you live. So whether you live in Liège or Verviers, for example, you may not be subject to the same requirements.

The Walloon Town and Country Planning Code

To find out what you’re entitled to do, and obliged to respect, you need to refer to the Walloon Land Development Code. Please note, however, that it is subject to regular modifications. In fact, a new Code came into force on June 1, 2017.
